My computer does not have a COM port. What to do now?
The VOXP interface is a serial communication link, so you need a serial COM port on your PC. Many modern PC's do not offer such a port anymore. In that case you may use a USB-to-Serial adapter. But beware: many adapters that are available on the market do not offer what they promise; data throughput may not suffice so that you will suffer from communication break downs.We have tested adapters with the FTDI/FT232RL chip set to be suitable. Please ask your computer supplier for adapters with this chip set, or write us so that we can give you tips.
Can I run the VOXP tool on my laptop?
Yes and no. The software runs on any laptop with the Windows® operating system, but since your laptop probably is not EN 60601-1-2 certified, you should not connect the laptop to the Avea nor use it near patients.We can advise you about which computers can be used in stead.
Can I install on a PC that has no Internet connection?
Yes you can. To activate a license you need to make contact to our on-line server, but you don't necessarily need to do that on the computer on which you install the software. If the license activator cannot contact our server, then it will display an Internet address where you can get an activation code.Which languages are supported?

Yes. We offer upgrades for a strongly reduced price. An upgrade is required if you are using for example version 2, and you would like to use version 3. If you are using version 3 and we offer an update for version 3, then you can download that update for free.I just recently bought the VOXP tool, but now there is a newer version. What to do?

If you would like to upgrade the software to a newer version, then we will ask you license number. To get that number, go to the Window's Start menu, find VOXP Research Data Collector -> Maintenance and open the License Activator. Press Next. Now information about your current license is displayed.A license number looks like OL1234567.
